RESEARCHER AND REFERENCE IN MULTIDISCIPLINARY HEALTH TEAMS COORDINATION
Doctor of Chiropractic, MilanLab creator and pioneer of studies dental occlusion and posture.
Jean-Pierre Meersseman DC, “Doctor of Chiropractic” degree at Palmer College (USA), developer of clinic professional applied kinesiology established by Dr. Goodheart (USA) at 60’s – 70’s years and pioneer in studies of the relationship between dental occlusion and posture, is recognized as the world’s best in their field.
In more than four decades of practice, Meersseman has followed more than 100,000 clinical cases, including heads of state, celebrities and athletes of high level, as the US Olympic team.
Creator of an unprecedented project, the Milan Lab, a research center of high technology based on exploiting the physical capacity of the athletes and, above all, be maintained for a prolonged period. It was crucial for the AC Milan football club to sign one of the most triumphant periods of its history.
During the time of Meersseman at AC Milan, there was a 43% reduction in days off, a 70% reduction in the use of drugs and not traumatic injuries (not attributable, therefore, to violent hits or accidents) were reduced by 80%. In the long term (three years), the physical performance average of the players had increased by 50%.
It gave a real revolution in the prediction and prevention of injuries in football, by unique treatments combining neurology, biochemistry and psychology with the practice of chiropractic and kinesiology. The idea is to reduce risks to a minimum through a complex systematization of all the parameters that affect the performance of athletes in three essential areas: structural, biochemical and mental.
The application of these principles in any sport is today a future challenge for many elite sporting clubs.
